The weather continues to be gorgeous for March here in northern Wisconsin.
Our family is enjoying the early spring by taking advantage of the unseasonable temperatures.
We have been grilling out, doing yard work (well, Jamie has), and playing outside sports like basketball and golf.
The dogs have also been loving this change in the weather.
Today, however, Jack had a bad day.
~~~
*First, when he went outside earlier today, Sophie chased him relentlessly and interrupted his routine of "marking" his territory by weedling on each and every tree.
*Then, when he and Sophie were wrestling on the trampoline (which, at that time, was not fully assembled and had the safety net still on the trampoline bed), he got tangled in the safety net. During his traumatic entrapment, Sophie continued to attack him while he was stuck in the net!
*Finally, tonight as Jack was jumping onto Abby's bed to tuck her in, he yelped in pain. That is when we discovered his cut on the bottom of his paw--right on the side of one of his paw-pads!
This required immediate attention from the entire Klimek Family, and the first aid kit was quickly fetched from the linen closet in an attempt to "patch" Jack up.
Poor Jack relished the attention his "lame" paw got him, and he really played up the "poor puppy" routine...
Jack proceded to tell Sophie just how bad his paw really hurt!
~~~
As a result, Sophie inspected her paw to make sure she didn't have any boo-boos, too...
~~~
Both dogs were happy to note that Sophie's paw was fine!
But poor Jack was pathetic and wounded.
Get well soon, Jack!
**Disclaimer: Shortly after watching Jack wave his bandaged paw around and limp on three paws, I unwrapped his paw and he went merrily on his way. His cut is about the size of a grain of rice, and I am sure will heal nicely--if he can stop licking it for a while!
We live in a small town, we get our entertainment where we can.
That was quite an entertaining report, complete with great pictures, for us country folks who don't even claim a small town!
Poor Jack......we will have to keep our ferocious Toby away from him this weekend! We wouldn't want Jack to experience anymore trauma than what he's already gone through!!
