Halloween 2010

Happy Halloween!

For Halloween this year, the Squirrel designed a costume of her own making! She decided she would be a "Fairy Princess" and dreamed up her costume weeks ago. She paid attention to every detail; from her princess crown, to her fairy wings, to her spider earrings, to her "Whoooo wants candy" owl shirt, to her stripped tights. But nothing was cooler than her hand-made tutu that she made herself! The purple, green, orange, and black tulle was very festive and looked stunning on her!

Earlier in the day, Abz and Bay tackled the huge task of carving the ginormous pumpkin...~~~
I think they could have both fit inside that thing!~~~

Abz and Bay went and did a bit of Trick or Treating with Bailey's dad around town. I stayed home to hand out some candy to trick or treaters here at the Klimie house while I was on call. (The Steelers were playing, so Jamie was otherwise occupied!)

Austin had a dinner date with friends for the evening, and just as I was leaving to head out to the hospital for a call-in, these trick-or-treaters showed up at the kitchen door...

Puppy Watch--An Update

Perhaps you all remember the joyous post highlighting the wedding of

Jack Klimek and Casey Hallberg

September 3, 2010...

I am pleased to announce their puppies are due to arrive sometime around

November 5, 2010!

Fall Day Fotos

Carter and Bradley came for a short fall visit for our annual Pumpkin Patch Adventure (see post below), and the three youngest cousins took some time to play in Abby's leaf pile out in the front yard while they were "up north".

We had a fun time in the leaves, and none too soon! When Abz and I got home that afternoon, dad had hauled three truck-loads to the compost pile and mulched the rest!

Pumpkin Patch 2010

The Klimek Family and 3/4 of the Dorwin Family made our annual trek to Mommsen's Pumpkin Patch in Rice Lake on Saturday, October 16th. Unfortunately, Chad had to work and couldn't join us for our yearly adventure. We missed him, and I am sure he missed the fresh caramel apples, although Nic and the boys took one home for him!

We had a beautiful fall day to enjoy our time together at the Pumpkin Patch. The temperature was around 65 degrees--a big change from some of the years we have been there in winter coats, hats, and gloves!

Our trip to the Pumpkin Patch is a day for cousins to have fun together...

(the pumpkin with the big mouth isn't related to us...)

The Klimie Kids were great to humor their mom with a few photo ops throughout the afternoon!

Carter had the most fun picking the cobs of corn...

he had all of his pants pockets stuffed with ears of corn until his pants were almost falling off, and then he stuffed the front pocket of my hoodie full of corn cobs when he couldn't carry any more!
