Barron 4th Grade Meet BHS Varsity Golden Bears!

Abby's basketball season has now officially come to an end. She has played another season of Rice Lake City League this past fall, and now her fourth grade traveling basketball season is done. We had our last fourth grade basketball event on Friday night--our Fourth Grade Girls had the opportunity to meet the BHS Varsity Girls Basketball Team!
~~~
Here is my team before the Varsity game, waiting on the BHS Golden Girls... ~~~
Each of my girls paired up with a Varsity athlete and was able to enter the gym and run around the court with their player as the band played and the crowd cheered! The fourth graders were in heaven!
~~~
Here is the Squirrel running with her friend, Natalya Borgen...
~~~
The little girls got the chance to go out on the floor at half time of the JV game and shoot around with the Varsity players. The fourth graders felt pretty special to be on the court and shooting with the big girls!
~~~
After running the perimeter of the court with our Varsity friends and honoring our flag with the Varsity players, the fourth graders had the experience of sitting directly behind the Varsity bench during the game....
~~~
Once again, we had some welcome visitors to watch the game and to see Abby play in her scrimmage at half time of the Varsity game...
~~~
Abby scored the first basket of the halftime scrimmage! She was SO proud when the crowd erupted, and was even more excited when Andrew and a few of Austin's friends started chanting her name in the crowd! "A-by! A-by!" I have the shot on video, but I still haven't figured out how to upload a video onto blogger... *sigh*
~~~
All in all, it was a very fun night of basketball for "my" girls!
