A Second WIN for BHS Junior Varsity!

Austin played his second JV basketball game last night (Thursday) here in Barron. We played against Durand, so it was a non-conference game. Durand always gives us a good game, and they are tough competition. Last year, Durand blew Austin's C-team away (as most every team we played did!). Austin was not really looking forward to the game, as he was anticipating getting "creamed" again this year.

Well, our BHS JV boys played an awesome game! Our defense was great, and we continually beat their full-court press through the entire game! Austin did a great job of bringing the ball up the court through the press and getting the offense going at the point guard position.

This was Austin's second game of the season. The team also won their first game last Tuesday night against Osceola. We are now 2 and 0 for our season. Unfortunately, our varsity has lost both of their games this season--their record is off to a slower start this year.

I missed Austin's first game, as I was with Andrew at his game in Spooner. Once again, the Barron Eighth Grade Boys won another game by over 30 points. Andrew only has one more school ball game, and then we are on to traveling basketball.

The Squirrel has her third tournament tomorrow morning in Barron. She is excited to play in another game. We are getting quite a bit of snow here tonight, so, hopefully, all of the teams will be able to show up for the games!
