Basketball Highlights--X 3...

It has been the week for basketball for the Klimek Family, and boy, have we had fun!
~~~
Tonight was another game for Austin (game #3). He played a home game against the Cumberland Beavers. Once again, our BHS JV team pulled out a VICTORY! We are now 3 and 0 for our season on the Junior Varsity team! I was not at the game (see below), but we ended up winning by 12 points when all was said and done.
~~~
Jamie was kind enough to bring the little "point-and-shoot" camera to Austin's game tonight and capture a few pics for me...

The Huddle.

Taking the ball out-of-bounds (with his FAVORITE referee, Coach Bartlett--the girls Varsity basketball coach)...

Number 12 waiting for the free throw...
~~~
Andrew also had a game tonight AT Cumberland. Tonight was Andrew's last school basketball game. Once again, the Barron Eighth Grade Boys pulled off another final victory to complete their school basketball season with a perfect record!
Here is Andrew taking advantage of Macky's screen to drive toward the hoop...
Tight Defense!
The Final Score
Barron RVMS 58, Cumberland 22
We have added to our "injured roster"...
Neil was going outside to shovel on Saturday afternoon, when he slipped on the ice and broke his right arm in the growth plate of his wrist! The orthopedist believes Neil will be out of commission for 6 weeks! Neil is disappointed that he may miss the traveling ball League Championship Tournaments on January 3rd and 4th--Poor Kid!
~~~
Andrew had another game last night (Monday night) against Hayward here in Barron. This is the game that was rescheduled from the night Jordan was here to watch Andrew play, and the other team never showed up!
~~~
Once again, Andrew takes full advantage of the screen--this time by Tim--and heads toward the basket!
~~~
Playing Defense like a "fly on poop!
~~~
Going up for the shot just inside the 3-point line!~~~
Needless to say, the Barron 8th grade boys won again on Monday night--I don't remember the score, but it was by at least 30+ points again! Bruce, the boy's traveling basketball coach, is anxious to get started with traveling ball practices. Andrew and his team had practice AFTER the game on Monday until 9:00--now THAT was a busy baskteball day!
~~~
Tomorrow is Abby's last basketball practice and her team pictures are tomorrow, also. She has been practicing hard for her 4th grade Christmas Program that is coming up next Thursday--she has the part of a "Snowpreme"!
~~~
Andrew, as I have said, is now on to traveling basketball. He has a vocal concert Thursday night--should be fun! They always do a nice variety of Christmas songs for the program.
~~~
Austin keeps busy with practice every day and the occasional game. He has been driving with the Driver's Ed Teacher. One moring, I had been driving Abz to the bakery for a special breakfast treat, and who did we see at the four-way stop in Barron?!? (Austin drives before school) None other than my Little Ed, driving with both hands on the wheel! Well, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to roll down my window, stick half of my body out of the car, and wave frantically--after all, my mother taught me that it is a mother's roll to occasionally embarrass your children! (and before you object, mom, remember the holstein cow outfit?!?)
~~~
Hope you are all having a good week!
Where is the cow now anyway? Brings back memories.
Well, we hope to see games while home and we hit the cold Wisconsin/Minnesota weather on Tues.
Way to go Klimies.
