Austin had two games this week--two opportunities for me to take pictures of him playing basketball, and two times that I didn't have my camera with me! :-(

Monday night, Barron traveled to Rice Lake to take on the Warriors in a non-conference game. All three of our teams, C, B, and A ended up on the losing side of the score board that night. Our JV team had gone into the game undefeated, but you wouldn't have known it watching our guys play. The funny thing is, the Rice Lake JV team has lost it's fair share of games already this year--they are not that good in their conference. In the larger conferences, the schools have 4 teams--Varsity, JV, Sophomore, and Freshman. The Freshman team plays at the same time as the JV team, and the Sophomore team plays at the same time as the Varsity. Our JV boys were playing against some tougher competition than they usually do! Thanks to Grandma Pat and Grandpa Denny for making the trip to come watch the boys play!

Tonight, we traveled north to Spooner to compete against the Rails in a conference game. Our JV played hard, but didn't pull it off in the end, and we lost 30 to 35. Austin had some nice shots in the game and he played good defense--we just didn't get enough shots off from the outside to get a "W". Our Varsity had an exciting game that went into overtime--we ended up winning by 4 points in a rough and wild game.

So, not a very good week for our BHS JV team--hopefully next week will be better! We are all working this weekend (with the exception of Abby and the dogs) at the Seventh Grade League Championship Tournaments that Barron is hosting this weekend--more basketball!

Too bad on the loses, but we hope to see a big WIN on Tues. night as it will Grandpa Denny & my last game to see before we head back to Florida on Wed. morning. It has been fun to watch both Austn and Andrew play basketball.....my favorite game too!
